This full potting bench was made from old pallets. What a great use for something that would be discarded once old.

This last DIY potting bench is one of my favorites. A chicken wire door is in the back, plus pallets and the final touch is old posts for the legs. Beautiful!

Companion planting is the way to keep pests away from one crop by planting another crop that the pest detests.

Companion planting is also a way to keep the soil healthy. One plant puts a nutrient in the soil that another plant wants to eat. Some plants need very different ph levels in the soil; therefore, they should be planted far away from each other.
